BARRIER ISLAND ECO TOURS // Isle of Palms 🦪

We took our family on an adventurous eco tour of the barrier islands around the Isle of Palms with @barrierislandecotours and we are still talking about it! They completely immerse you in the ecology and beauty of the marshlands and waterways of the Lowcountry and it is such a fun trip for the kids!

Dolphin Sunset Cruise >> join their naturalist team on a search and discovery mission on this sunset 2.5-hour dolphin cruise to encounter the fascinating bottlenose dolphin and loggerhead sea turtle off of Capers Island, just north of Charleston. Sunset was the perfect time to be on the water and viewing the spectacular marine life of our region. You also have about one hour to get off the boat and explore Capers Island’s famous “bone-yard beach”.

Trips are Sunday through Friday from 6-8:30pm during the summer months and in the off season, trips are Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings, with times scheduled to coincide with the sunset (our trip was 5:30pm - 8pm) 🌅

We brought our own cooler with wine, water and snacks to enjoy on the trip. We also packed sunscreen, sweatshirts and some towels. The kids were able to interact with so many sea creatures and LOVED seeing the dolphins interact with us!

Leila is a sweet, sweet local neighbor of ours and was diagnosed only a few short months after my husband’s cancer diagnosis. She was also a Meet a Mom last year on this platform >> and she needs all of our support and prayers right now 🤍

A message from her husband Andrew > Leila Muller is battling stage IV non-small cell lung cancer. She was healthy, and then all of a sudden she wasn’t. This has been the biggest and toughest battle of our lives over the past 8 months.

Her cancer has spread to her bones, liver, and brain. She is on her second targeted therapy drug. Her current drug was working great… and then it stopped.

I am not one to ask for anything. I believe in earning everything through hard work. But I’ve decided to do a fundraiser for Lionheart Leila to help with the financial burden of her treatments and travel costs, and to raise awareness of her battle.

This fundraiser is not just about asking for money. I want to earn your support — whether that’s financial, spiritual, your presence, or any other way you can help.

On Saturday, May 23rd, I will be doing pull-ups for 24 straight hours to raise money and awareness for Leila.

If you’re looking for ways to support, this is your chance. You can make a donation of any size, but I’m also asking for support per pull-up. Please commit to $1, $3, or $5 per pull-up I complete. Just let me know your commitment via DM.

Our goal is to raise $50,000+.
