Updated April 2026.  The warmer days are just around the corner and in order to beat the heat…splash pads & waterparks are a must in Charleston! See the full list below with all the info you need to stay cool this summer!

 

SPLASH PADS

 

Ashley River Park
200 Renken Rd, Summerville

Ashley River Park features playgrounds, two picnic shelters, a splash pad, a fishing pond, riverside walking trail, kayak launch, event lawn, and dog parks for both small and large dogs. There’s also an event pavilion on site available for half-day and full-day rentals.  *Adventure course and rock climbing wall at this location to come!
Opens Saturday, March 28th and will be open daily from 9:00am – 6:00pm
Admission: $2 per person over the ages 3 and up

 

 

Central Park Creek
147 Old Moncks Corner Road, Goose Creek

Central Park Creek features a world-class, 13-acre all-abilities recreational space, Debra’s Playground, pavilion, splash creek pad, basketball & volleyball courts.
Splash Pad opens Memorial Day – Labor Day | *Stay tuned for opening day for Toddler & Tot Time (ages 4 and under) at Splash Creek
Park hours are dawn -10 PM. Debra’s Playground hours are dawn-dusk.

 

Cypress Gardens
3030 Cypress Gardens Road, Moncks Corner

Splash pad opens on TBD (usually around Memorial Day Weekend)! Open daily from 9am – 4:45pmEntrance to the splash add is included with regular admission to the park. Cypress gardens has nature trails, a butterfly house, Swamparium, Bird Exhibits, a playground, row boat rides.
Admission: Kids 5 and under are Free | Kids 6yrs – 17yrs are $5 | Adults $10

 

Daniel Island Waterfront Park
1 River Landing Drive, Daniel Island

A beautiful, multi-faceted park on the Daniel Island waterfront that includes a playground, seating areas, and a water fountain play area.
The Spray Play Fountain is open and runs through September 27th, from 10am. to 7pm., except for Wednesdays when it opens at 12pm

 

 

Doty Park
320 N. Laurel St., Summerville

Splash Pad opens March 28th – September 30th!  Doty Park features gazebos, playground, restrooms, tennis backboard and tennis court, and a walking trail.  *Modified Schedule includes weekends, Monday Tot Times from 10am -12pm, and Homeschool Wednesdays 10am -12pm.

James Island County Park (James Island)
871 Riverland Drive, Charleston

The spray play splash fountain is free! Splash Zone Waterpark has an additional cost – see more info below!  James Island County Park includes a playground, climbing wall, picnic tables, bathrooms, sand volleyball court and more.
Splash Fountain opens April 4th – September 27th from 10am – 7pm except for Wednesdays, when it opens at 12pm
Admission: $2/person or free with a gold pass into County Park.

 

 

Memorial Waterfront Park
Below the Ravenel Bridge, Mount Pleasant

Opening April 4th!  The Splash Pad is free! The improved Memorial Waterfront Park includes multipurpose sports court that can accommodate two basketball and four pickleball courts, splash pad fountain play area, restroom facility, dog park, exercise area and a quarter mile walking trail. Restrooms are also located on site.  Closed on Tuesdays from 8am – 12pm for maintenance.

 

 

Riverfront Park (North Charleston)

The splash fountain is free!

Wannamaker County Park
8888 University Blvd, North Charleston

The splash pad is free! Whirlin’ Waters Waterpark has an additional cost – see more info below! Wannamaker County Park has trails, picnic tables, a park center, restrooms, 2 playgrounds, and bike and boat rentals.
Splash Pad opens April 4th – September 27th from 10am – 6pm, except for Wednesdays, when it opens at 11am
Admission is $2/person or free with a gold pass into County Park

 

 

Waterfront Park
Concord Street, Downtown Charleston

Charleston’s Waterfront Park is the perfect venue to stretch out and soak up the scene. With a prime location overlooking Charleston Harbor and the Cooper River, and more than 10 acres of room to roam, (most of which is waterfront). The park also has two fountains, a splash fountain and the famous Pineapple Fountain.

Charleston Aqua Park
3050 Marlin Rd, Johns Island

Fun water activities for the whole family including an aqua park and a ropes course!
Opens back up in May 2026
Admission is for 45-minute sessions | Aqua Park starting at $18 and Ropes Course starting at $18

 

Splash Island Waterpark
444 Needlerush Pkwy, Mt Pleasant (Palmetto Islands County Park)

Visitors will find Splash Island Waterpark tucked deep within the tropical vegetation of Mount Pleasant Palmetto Islands County Park. This seasonal family water attraction provides hours of fun and recreation for toddlers to preteen children.  THe Waterpark features 200-foot body flume (48″ minimum height), 16-foot otter slide (30″ minimum height), sprays, geysers, and raindrop waterfalls, activity pool, concessions, restrooms, shower/changing area, birthday park packages and private rentals. **The cyclone swirling water ride has closed for good

Splash Island Waterpark opens on the weekends from May 16th – May 25th, and then daily from Memorial Day – August 2nd
Admission is $2/person or free with a gold pass into County Park
General Admission is $10.99 pp / Under 48″ $9.99 pp / Children 2 and under are free!

 

Splash Zone Waterpark
871 Riverland Dr, Charleston (James Island County Park)

When the temperature starts rising, visitors of all ages will enjoy Splash Zone Waterpark, a favorite summer playground located within James Island County Park. This seasonal attraction provides hours of fun and recreation for the entire family.
Splash Zone Waterpark opens on the weekends from May 16th – 25th, and then daily from Memorial Day – August 2nd
Admission is $2/person or free with a gold pass into County Park
General Admission is $15.99 pp / Under 48″ $13.99 pp / Children 2 and under are free!

 

Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark

Gallons of fun for all ages, Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark is located at North Charleston Wannamaker County Park and offers seasonal, island-style water play packed into over 15-acres.
Waterpark opens on the weekends from May 16th – 25th, Memorial Day – August 10th, Weekends only August 15th – August 30th and Labor Day
Admission is $2/person or free with a gold pass into County Park
General Admission is $24.99 pp / Under 48″ $19.99 pp / Children 2 and under are free!
