We dreamed of retiring in Charleston one day, but realized dreams don’t have to wait and we made the big decision to uproot our family and move to the Lowcountry while our 3 kids were still young.

5 things we’ve learned since moving to charleston, sc >

^ Small town feel with all the big town amenities
^ Access to 5 coastal beaches > living by the water was a must for us
^ Sunshine and mild temperatures 9 months of the year. July - September are HOT + HUMID there’s no escaping that
^ Being one of the oldest cities in the country, exploring is one of our favorite things to do with the kids
^ Very family friendly…locals or newbies, we meet new families almost every week

Raising our kids in the south has been such a diff

Raising our kids in the south has been such a different experience than our life was up in New England, but that was why we made the big decision to move while our three kids were still young(ish).

Living in Charleston, our life is intentionally slower…more time spent with our kids outside, more time spent exploring this incredible city + learning the history, more time meeting people and creating new friendships. And most of all, enjoying more quality time with our family + friends that get to visit us year round!
